About Us
Nick has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He started out as an entry level carpenter at a company where he rapidly moved into the foreman position. Nick has experienced all levels of home building; including plumbing, electrical, concrete, excavation, framing, siding, shingling, finish carpentry, and of course general contracting. Throughout his years, Nick has learned many lessons, and still holds true to his original intention: build with quality materials, use qualified subcontractors, and produce well-built, energy efficient homes.
Baxter Construction is a family owned and operated business. For example: Nick’s wife, Dee, is not only the bookkeeper, she also helps with material selections, fixture choices, and can even be seen polishing windows. From time to time, other family members can be seen on the job site when extra help is needed. Everyone who pitches in enjoys helping out, and knows they are greatly appreciated.
Nick’s son, Jason, has spent his whole life in construction; from helping Nick build walls at the early age of 6, to working during summers and throughout his school years. Having experience in all areas of construction, adding knowledge of computer work seemed to be the next logical level. Jason has a degree in Architectural Technology, and does all of the drafting/design work for Baxter Construction, as well as other area builders and the general public.
By combining Nick’s years of experience with Jason’s design skills, Baxter Construction will transform a list of needs and wants into reality.
